My Typography project
By Ethan Moore
Overview:
The project that was assigned to us was a typography project where we have to type out our name and then get 3 lines to represent the base line, the x-height and the caps height. After that we need to pick 10 typeface elements and then show where they go by using arrows. This project wasn't my favorite but I enjoyed it. Like using 10 typefaces was probably my favorite part.
What I learned:
What I learned was that with fonts and typefaces, that there are many different typefaces that can involve many letters of the alphabet. I also learned that there were many fonts out there that people like and people hate. I am not very interested in fonts, but I thought learning about them and learning about all the typefaces was cool. That we use typefaces and fonts in our everyday life. Including with how we write things.
How it went:
I thought this project was a success in all ways. I got a little confused at the beginning with the lines and how to draw them with the mouse but I figured it out really quick. The best part of this project was probably the typefaces because even though it took time, it was probably the best thing that I did in this project.
