CSS and Carp design

CSS and Carp Project

The overview of this project was to edit an html poem and put CSS styles and apply CARP to it. The difference between the starting and ending html files are that the contrast with the dark tan to the light tan colors of the text and background of the text looks way better. Another difference is the picture of the dog,  we aligned it so it won't be in the middle of the text but is now on the right side of the page on the ending html file. Those are two main differences but there are way more. This new style information went into the properties and then to the poem and the code for the poem.

Contrast:

The contrast for this page was in the the form of the dark and light tan that we got from the dog. The styles improved the contrast from just having black and white to light and dark tan. Those two colors are similar so those both have good contrast for each other.  I thought the contest improved greatly.

Alignment:

The CSS improved the alignment in 3 ways. The first way, was that it moved the picture of the dog from in the middle of the text and interrupting it to moving it to the right of the poem. The second way, was that we moved the title and heading to the center instead of the left where it seemed out of place. The third way, was that we moved all of the text to the left so it didn't seem out of place with that single line on the right.

Repetition:

The way that CSS helped repetition, was that we used similar colors to the background and text. We used a dark tan that was similar to the black background. Obviously we used the same picture for the dog so that is another way of repetition. We also used similar links but we put links in for the new and old html pages.

Proximity:

CSS improved the proximity of the text by making sure we had the right font style and font size so it didn't seem out of place. For the font size, this also applies to the alignment and that the font size was the right size for all text because if it wasn't the right size then it wouldn't look professional. For the font style and family, we needed to make sure that in the code we had to type "Georgia" for the font family.

Conclusion:

Something I learned to do with CSS is that you can edit CSS to edit a poem or piece of text so it can change color or style of text or font. Editing the CSS was my favorite part of this project. But my least favorite part was making sure that everything was how it was supposed to be. But overall I really loved this project.
