Chase Scene
By Ethan Moore
What I learned about the pre production process of a chase scene was that a chase scene can have every shot in there and include even the perspective of each actor. I didn't struggle with figuring out the 3 ideas for the chase scene because the ideas came to me really fast. My ideas were feasible and new ideas I figured out with my group mainly involved the plot of the story like having someone spray paint a car. I thought that all of the locations that we filmed at were perfect and we agreed on most of the locations that we filmed at. We determined jobs and roles by telling each other what we were good at. My role in the process was cameraman and camera carrier. I wish we could have cut the video down a little bit, so I think that would be something I would want to change. Some challenges I faced during filming was making sure the hallway was clear during filming so we could get a clear shot of the actor.
The film editing process was probably the hardest part of this project. But my skills have changed by using more audio and video transitions and making sure that the scene doesn't look choppy. Something I want to learn going forward is improving my editing process because I think I can do way better if I just practice. Something I can do to improve my skills is filming on my own and editing. I think our work with my team went really well and we were on time with everything and kept on task. Some aspects that went well was choosing the location to film and trying to use everyones strengths to our advantage. No aspects were bad in our group. I don't think I would do anything different with the team process.
